Globetrotter's Pocket Doc - the only English international medical communication book for travelers to foreign countries

Your physician personally reviews all laboratory and pathology results. This data is then reviewed in the context of your personal medical record. Recommendations are then made based upon the synthesis of these databases.

Not all labs are called to patients. The physician will contact the patient when they are clinically important or relevant to a particular condition. Due to the volume of labs drawn and limits on time, not all labs can be called to the patient. If you wish to know the results of your labs, please feel free to contact the office. We appreciate your cooperation.

Pathology results are usually available approximately 1 week after they have been submitted to the pathologist. These results are then reviewed. The results will be called to you in most situations. However, your physician may wish to see you in the office to discuss these results or wait until your next office visit. This approach allows you and your physician to have dedicated time to address these issues and provide detailed information regarding the diagnosis.

By following the above policy, Colorado Center for Digestive Disorders is able to maximize time with patients.
