You cannot drive a car or operate any dangerous machinery for the remainder of the day. You may resume other normal activities for the remainder of the day but understand that you might be forgetful for the next several hour.
You may resume your regular diet.
3. You may resume your regular medications except as outlined by the recommendation on the post Colonoscopy instruction sheet under "RECOMMENDATIONS".
Do not drink alcohol for 24 hours.
It is normal to have some gas pains. Try taking a walk to help relieve the bloated feeling. Your usual bowel habits should return in 3-5 days.
Call the office at 303-776-6115 during normal office hours to have the on call physician paged after hours if the following events occur:

You have abdominal pain that gets worse or continues.
You have bleeding that is more than one tablespoon of blood.
You have a fever.
