The term used to describe straining at bowel movements.
Transverse colon:
The portion of the colon which goes across into next the descending and descending colon.
Travelers' Diarrhea:
An infection caused by unclean food or drink. Often occurs during travel outside one's own country. This disease is often treated with antibiotics. See also Gastroenteritis.
Triple-Therapy:
A combination of three medicines used to treat H. Pylori infection and ulcers. Many combinations of medications are available for treatment of H. Pylori. The original combination of drugs consisted of three drugs resulting in the term "triple therapy" Triple therapy often includes acid suppressing medications to assist in healing the ulcer.
Tropical Sprue:
A condition of unknown cause. Abnormalities in the lining of the small intestine prevent the body from absorbing food normally. This disease is not associated with non tropical sprue or gluten enteropathy. It has been associated with travel and residence in tropical areas.
