Obstruction:
A blockage of the GI tract which prevents the flow of normal GI contents through the area.

Occult Bleeding:
The type of bleeding in which microscopic amounts of blood appear in the stool. A chemical reaction is used to determine whether this type of bleeding is present.

Ostomy:
Any operation which makes it possible for stool to leave the body through an opening made in the abdomen.
